The ice-breaker dinner of the 6th Workshop of Italian Geoparks begins is dedicated to the Apuan Wines. The location is the Restaurant "La Ceragetta", in Capanne di Careggine. Giovanna Ciari introduces the winemaker Lamberto Tosi.

Gastronomic variations and innovations allowed the   Restaurant to win the Geopark contest "Zero-Mile Menu".

In the meantime, in the Bosa kitchens, chef Luigi Panini is completing the cooking of "Geozuppa": a soup of legumes and vegetables from local cultivars, with the presence of a spontaneous plant closely related to the carbonate bedrock: the "Saint Viano Cabbage".

The highlight of the afternoon is reached with the  presentation and tasting of the special wine produced in the Geopark Farm, at 850 m above sea level. This area has not previous winemaking tradition, but it is potentially interested by a future development of cultivations due to global warming.
The new wine is presented by the winemakers Andrea Elmi and Gian Luca Guidi ("Maestà della Formica" company).
